I grew up on a farm north of Palisade, Nebraska and graduated from Wauneta-Palisade High School in 1999. My career as an educator began upon my graduation from Hastings College in 2003. I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts Degree in 7-12 Language Arts Education.
From there, I acquired my first teaching position at Doniphan-Trumbull High School. Currently, I teach freshman English, sophomore English, speech, senior AP English and junior high reading. When I began teaching at Doniphan-Trumbull, I was the student council sponsor — a position I still hold to this day. Maintaining a strong connection with students through extra-curricular activities is something I have always considered an essential part of the education process. Aside from student council, I have lent my time and efforts to the school district as an assistant volleyball coach, assistant girls basketball coach, as well as high school speech coach. I have completed the Masters Degree program through Doane College in Curriculum and Instruction. Education
